I just went through all of the leagues and sent email invites for like the fifth time. For the A leagues that are still short a player or three, I also sent along an email that gave them 24 hours to take their seat.

If said players are not in their seat by tomorrow at this time, we have no choice but to promote the top ranked teams from the B leagues. We must move on.

This system does not work unless the main A league have 14 competitive teams.

Yahoo fantasy baseball has a few new options this season, as many of you have heard by now. All great stuff too. One of the options that has not gotten a ton of publicity is the  "wait until called up to the majors" option. What this does is it forces minor league prospects to go through the waivers process once they are called up, plain and simple.

Well almost anyways. There were three or four people I slotted wrong already, but eh, I caught it.

As most of you know, Yahoo opened up for twenty ten business earlier this week, and with that, fantasy players start getting an itch to see their teams name slotted into a league somewhere, anywhere. And that's the key as far as i am concerned.

Yahoo has seen fit to grant us an early St Valentines present. The leagues are open. I feel all warm and fuzzy, don't you?

They drastically changed the commissioner settings with lots more options. All for the good as far as I am concerned. The more buttons to toy with the better. Thanks Yahoo. No seriously, this OCD sufferer thanks you.

If you ever needed a reason, an excuse, a motivation, to battle throughout the entire fantasy season, look no farther than the 2009 rendition of the USA West A league. I have two examples here.

First off is the 2009 champion Petoria 237's. Petoria won the league despite coming into the playoffs with a 123-126 record. Yes below .500. They went off as the sixth seed, then proceeded to whip the third seeded Monterey Park Donuts (7-4), destroyed the two seed SF Giants (8-3), and then lead virtually wire to wire in the two week final against the one seed Sparks Red Sox Slayers. They slipped up a touch on the final Sunday, but pulled out ahead in the end, beating the one seed (6-5). Championship!

Los Angeles Dodgers!  In the first lower seed victory of the playoffs, the Dodgers win the big one over Fresno Brute Squad by a score of 7-3.  In what is apparently the week of seeded upsets, Berkeley Bungalow likewise beats higher seeded SparksRedSoxSlayers to take 3rd.  Here are the results:

If you've been following the daily updates, by now you will know the score: Muenster Blue Jays led Norwich No for a good portion of the two weeks, but a surge in the last few days saw Norwich first tie and then move ahead to claim a deserved H2HWS title.

First off I'd like to congratulate Woodstock Woolies on a championship.  He won what was in my opinion a very tough league with a lot of great managers.  He had to go through the #1 and #2 seed

I'd  also like to thank the league for staying active and helping everything run smoothly.  Hope to see you guys next year.

Now to the interesting stuff. The final game was very close and could have swung either way.

After dominating the league for practically all season the Swansea Jacks failed to win a week in the post season, leaving 2nd placed Coventry Curve to take the title after a 5-5 thriller against regular season 5th placed Sloane Sox.

With a 11-1 beatdown gamecocks38 finishes a great year in the USA South B League.  Thanks to all who played

Well as the playoffs have come to an end, here are the final standings for season 2009... congrats to the NKOTB Redhill Rookies for finishing 4th after the regular season, and taking down a convincing 10-2 victory in the 1st place playoff.

Special mention to our man Psydney Psychos who had another regular season 1st place (2nd in 3 years, and 4th top 2 finish in 5 years). But alas, he couldn't take home the biscuits this season, being eliminated by the eventual champ in the semi-final week. Still he'll always have that 2008 title.
