A Rod Hits 521

But only his eighth run scored as a real Yankee. Let's not lose focus of what is important here.

Of course, this could have been a meaningless game, so who knows if these runs even count, ya know ..

A-Rod's contract tops entire Marlins team

By more than 6 million dollars!

The disparity between the haves and have not's in professional baseball has become disgusting. This just highlights it. The MLB really needs to go to pure profit sharing, and an annually adjusted salary floor and cap.

This is insanity.

It's All About Ryan Howard in '08

Here is my latest prediction for the 2008 Fantasy Basebal season, and I stand by it...

At the end of the 2008 season, across most scoring formats, Ryan Howard will be the #1 Overall Ranked fantasy baseball player.

There I said it; but why did I say it?

SP Analysis... The Remix

I have a guest blogger today...Jordan Flemer, better known as Mugrila over at the Fantasy Baseball Cafe, and a damn fine fantasy player...

Starting Pitching can wait…unless it's Johan

As a follow up to Brendan's pieces on starting pitching, I’d like to plead my case for Johan Santana as well as follow up on my team in the same draft.

A Rod wins third MVP

Alex Rodriguez's bat propelled the New York Yankees into the playoffs, and Alex is about to be amply rewarded for it. Rodriguez batted .314, scored 143 runs, belted 54 home runs and had a career-high 156 runs batted in, and now can add a third Most Valuable Player award to his mantle.

Yankees eyeballing Mike Lowell

Nothing would surprise me more than to see the Boston Red Sox make an offer to A Rod. I hope it doesn't happen, but I think it was their plan all along. Let Mike Lowell leave, and then pursue A Rod.

Heck Boston Dirtdogs has huge picture up with Mike Lowells name on it. Hows that for fans sending a message to management.

David Wright is not to concerned about losing his gig

David Wright shares his views on the media created, New York Mets third base logjam. Also he fires back at Larry Jones' "speechless" comment with regards to David Wrights new gold glove. David; "It's not like I was voting for myself .. But I'm going to put that right in the middle of my trophy case"

Getting paid

I just ran across this list of Scott Boras 2008 free agents, and couldn't help but think that maybe Scott Boras himself will be buying an MLB team next winter. This commission checks alone could net him a small island. MLB is the next step up, right?

On second thought, why would he do that. He makes more than any of them, spending their money. the guy is that good.
