Milton Bradley

Fangraphs: Rangers MVP

Not the league MVP, even though an argument could be made for both Josh Hamilton or Milton Bradley, but which one of the two is the MVP of the Rangers?

Milton Bradley Cruising

Rangers OF Milton Bradley had two hits, including his 12th double, two runs and one RBI in six at-bats Monday against the Twins. Bradley, who homered in consecutive games Saturday and Sunday, extended his hitting streak to seven games Monday. He is 11-for-27 (.407) with four homers and 10 RBI in that span.

Bradley agrees to deal with Rangers

What a steal. Five million is way to cheap for the kind of stick Milton Bradley brings to the park.

Milton Bradley has reached preliminary agreement on a one-year contract with the Texas Rangers, according to a major-league source.

The deal, pending a physical, will give Bradley the chance to serve as a designated hitter early next season if he recovers slowly from reconstructive knee surgery.

The exact dollar amount of the contract is not known, but it is greater than $4 million -- the amount that the Padres reportedly offered Bradley on a one-year deal.

Bradley not offered arbitration

As for Milton Bradley, I would love to get him back.I think arbitration could be avoided, and he would sign a Kevin Towers special. A cheap single season offer with lost of options. I wonder if Towers is giving into media pressures here, because Bradley brings the kind of bat that San Diego teams only dream about.

its sad.

as for Barrett, hopefully he declines.Kevin Towers has made it known he will be a backup, and I doubt that is what Barrett has in mind.you never know though.

As for the Padres other Type A free agent -- outfielder Milton Bradley -- Towers said that the team won't likely offer him arbitration, which likely signals the end of his short stay with the Padres.

"I would say we're less likely to offer," Towers said. "Not without knowing where he's going to be in April and with Brian [Giles] coming off knee surgery.
