Orlando Hudson

Orlando Hudson dreamt of being a Met

reason number 13652 and 13653 why fans from small market teams will always hate New York. Both of em.

Growing up in South Carolina, Orlando Hudson dreamed of playing for the Mets. Even though he grew up in Braves country, Hudson loved Darryl Strawberry and was a proud Mets fan. Hudson was not shy about chasing his childhood dream this offseason when he hit free agency, making it known he wanted to come to Flushing.

But Omar Minaya couldn't find a taker for Luis Castillo's contract in a trade, and Hudson instead helped add to the Mets' misery last night. The Dodgers' All-Star second baseman drove in three runs with a first-inning double, snapping out of a 3-for-38 slump and helping the Dodgers roll to an 11-2 win.

A tip from your Uncle Bill

If you need a little middle infield help, or are having trouble plating runs this season, this could be your best chance to buy low on Orlando Hudson, and or, Rafael Furcal.
