This one is over. Yeah, yeah, spare me the Tony Manero line, this one is over.

Just know this. Even though the Enfield Lips came up with a draw last week, and it may appear like there is a slight chink in Enfields armor, the Lips have not lost since week one.

Yes that's right, one loss on the season, and it came way back in week one. Oh and they lost to of all teams, the Indiana Intimidators. The same team Enfield fought to a draw this past week.

Out West it continues to be all Carlsbad and Annville .. and then everyone else.

Or so you think.

I think I forgot to post this last week. Heck, I don't think, I know I forgot to post these last week. For all five of you following along with the home game. My Apologies.

It looks like we have quite a race out East. Everybody from Baltimore on down has fallen off the pace a touch, but the top seven teams are virtually neck and neck. This looks like its going to be quite a finish.

Here is an early look at the lineup for the 2010 H2H Superbowl.

The one, two, seeded teams from the five different leagues are al included. Now since we need a nice round number in order to play the game itself, I haven't decided yet if we are going to go with 14 teams.

Since I am usually all about inclusiveness in these matters, we will probably go with 14, and i'll toss in a wild card, but we have months yet until we have to make that decision.

Enfield could lose four weeks in a row, 0-10, and still be in the top 15 overall.

And the British Beast marches on ...
 
What is really frustrating for the other teams, is that every one of the tops teams won their weekly match-ups, pretty dominantly, and yet they still lost ground to the British Beast ... grrrr

Yep, with an 8-2 victory over the 'Virginia Wallabies', the 'Enfield Lips' pulled away just a little more from every other team, but one ..

Can anybody stop the Lips?

The 'Indy Racers' draw the assignment this week and while it is still to early to call any game 'a must win', let's just say that the 'Indy Racers' need a good showing this week, or they could be losing sight of that sixth playoff seed.

Week 10 out West saw virtually every match-up over the Christmas break fought to a draw, with the minor exception of one fight, one fight between the 'Slam and Jam Bandits' and 'Pa Hoops', a fight won by the Bandits 9-1 btw.

Apparently Slam and Jam didn't get the Christmas memo about giving and receiving .. he was all take, take, take ..

Solid win though, and in doing so, the Bandits broke out of this pack of average teams all leagues have floating around in the middle of the field, and they moved up and are now knocking on the door of the top teams.

Good. they needed another challenger.

Well week ten saw the 'Kinston Fireballs' rebound a touch with a solid victory over the second seeded 'Maineacs' (8-2), and in doing so they opened up a small five to six game cushion over everyone else in the standings.

We also had a tight battle between the third and fourth place teams, a battle that saw Jason's 'Better than Isiah' squad jump up to second overall with a 6-4 win.

The most lopsided victory of week ten came from the guys over at the 'Mort Report', who with their 9-1 thumping of the last place 'Murphy's Law', jumped all the way up to fifth place...

The final match up out East was not nearly as close as this league semi's were.

Incognito, who came on strong at the end of the season, blew past the front running Brooklyn Grantastics in the final weeks, and when it came time for a re match in the finals, they blew past the Grantastics again (101-74).

Oh so close.

I had two football squads in the finals this season, and I lost them both. It sucks. It blows. It bites.

I had Peyton Manning playing in the finals for both of the teams too, and his benching sure didn't help. As a matter of fact, I lost the West final here by five and half points. 5 1/2! Certainly Manning would have gotten those five points if he had played the 4th quarter. But I guess it is the price you pay for dominating the season with the Peyton. He had gotten me oh so far, how could I possibly bench him in the Championship game?
