Premiership Week 3 Recap: Brace Yourself for Redemption

The Premiership wraps up the month of August, heading into the one-week International break. We didn't have a full slate of games because of Manchester United's participation in last Friday's UEFA Super Cup exhibition game against Zenit St. Petersburg. So, those of you whetting their appetites over Wayne Rooney, Carlos Tevez, and erm, Darren Fletcher running wild on poor old Fulham would have to wait for another week. However, this week was a phenomenal week had you stuck with your preseason sleepers after two disappointing weeks.

Premiership: week 2

So we have concluded that we have no idea what a smoggie is. We do know however, they are on the rise.

I wonder if Al Gore is pissed.

Premiership: week 1

It is apparent I have no idea what I am doing. I had my team captain on the bench, and apparently team captains earn double points. I need to set up one of the news thingee's that tracks my players for me. Heck, apparently I need to read the rules. And to top this off, it is a salary cap game, meaning that players that are sure to go up in value, I don't know them. I am soo screwed.

Chasing the Treble Week 20 - Premier Priority

In my own little world, only one sporting event could possibly overshadow the sheer magnitude of the Summer Olympics and that's the English Premiership. When the Olympics gathers the attention of roughly 1-2 billion people around the planet, many of the world's eyes are fixated on the Premiership for 38 weeks a season, making the Premier League not only the most viewed soccer league in the world, but also the most watched sports league in the world. This past weekend in particular was opening weekend of the brand spanking new Premiership season and in this part of the world, it's the most perfect excuse to get drunk at 8am on a Sunday morning.

The Other Football part 1 - Intro to English Football

In the spirit of the upcoming start of the inaugural RotoDatabase Premier League on August 16, I thought I'd write a series of articles, which will make up an introductory guide for those folks who haven't had much exposure to club soccer/football. Because our fantasy game is focused on the English league entirely, we'll scratch the surface on

Monday updates

Sorry I didn't get the updates out a little sooner this morning. I knew I would be gone a majority of the day, and did what I could before running out the door.

Draft Position

It looks like the Premier League is growing quite nicely. Enough so that we will probably have at least two or even three leagues for the initial season. I think that if the current participants got the word out to a few friends, we may even get to four league by draft time.

Introducing the RotoDatabase Premier League

Thanks to WR setting up a fantasy soccer signup sheet over the weekend, I thought I'd write a brief write-up on the league settings and scoring. A lot of this has yet to be determined, but here's a basic rundown, aimed primarily at those folks who haven't played fantasy soccer before. Let's have it:
