thoughts on this trade offer

I would be getting Wright. it is standard 5x5, and I am second overall on saves.

David Wright

for

Aramis Ramirez and Joakim Soria

Looks fair to me - if you can stand the hit in saves. It would be nice to get a temporary closer or decent set-up guy back in return as well (Torres, for example, or even a DL-guy like Gonzalez or Zumaya) if possible, but I wouldn't let that stop the deal going ahead.

I'd make the deal. I'm not too concerned about A-Ram's supposed power drought, but I'd still take Wright any day over him. If you're in solid position for saves for the future, it makes the deal a no-brainer.

My thought process was simple I guess. The only difference between Ramirez and Wright is the SB's as far as i am concerned. Since we are close to the halfway point, there aren't going to be but maybe 10-12 more stolen bases from Wright.

So is it worth it to my team to deal a lights out closer for 10-12 SB's?

I didn't think so, and figured i could do better trading Soria straight up.

Just a little recap, this is the one league where I threw down a LIMA, and lets just say it isn't going swell.

The pitching side is holding up just fine, and I am down one point in saves. That is truly the least of my worries, as I am middle of the pact in all batting categories, and I am dead last in batting average.

I kept waiting for Thome, Swisher, Konerko, Vlad, Upton and Johjima to come out of their funk. At the two month mark I started adjusting. Not much though. I will of course stay with the LIMA 'cus you have no choice. Even if I wanted to go with starting pitching, I will never catch up in wins and k's. Heck I doubt I even pick up a point.

So LIMA it is.

Last week I traded Hoffman for Godzilla straight up, a solid buy low guy right now. Vlad is waking up, as is Konerko and Johjima.

Upton is on the bench. I should of sold high on that guy in April, oh well.

so yeah, a little update. I am 5 points out of a money finish, 25 points away from the main pay day.

thanks guys
