RDB Fantasy Premier League Update: 11th Hour

I've been idle for too long to blog, but I've been busy and I've also been caught up with family emergencies recently (a few of you know what's going on, I know). Here's the latest on where we are with our little Fantasy Premier League:

Half of the teams registered have yet to officially join the league. If that's you, well, I've sent out a couple of invites to you and so, pardon the invites if they nag you. Point is, we would need everybody on the boat on August 14, the eve of the Premier League kickoff weekend. Please join ASAP.

There's also a slight mix-up with the leagues. See, one of the new features to the Premier League's game is a league renewal, which in turn, automatically spews invites to last season's players upon renewal. I'm sorry to say I'm scrapping that league, as we'll stick to a strict H2H-only league and not the double H2H/points standings competition I proposed several weeks ago. I've contacted a few of you who joined the old league, but there's another few I don't have contact info from (think I'll dig through last year's sign-up sheet).

Go to the "Leagues" page, then click on "Create/Join", and enter the code under the section "Join Private League" and click the button by the same name.

If you still want to join our league, no problem. You don't even need to sign up on our Rotodatabase form. All you need to do is, head over to the Fantasy Premier League site, register and build your team, and then join the league with the code I provided above.

If you'd be so kind, please spread the word to your pals if they're interested in playing or have already set up a team to join our little group. I've recently joined a league group with about 250 members strong in a pure points standings league and that's bonkers. I'm not that ambitious, but it would be cool to see our numbers double to 30 or maybe even 40 leaguemates. I'm aiming for 20 for that proper Premier League number for this year. Baby steps, people and then, the world, next year.
