A tip from your Uncle Bill

If you need a little middle infield help, or are having trouble plating runs this season, this could be your best chance to buy low on Orlando Hudson, and or, Rafael Furcal.

In case you have been living under a rock for the last week, or are all still getting all misty eyed while listening to "Beat It" in the dark, offensive juggernaut Manny Ramirez will be making his under publicized return to the Dodgers lineup this weekend. I am guessing Manny will provide a nice little uptick for both Furcal and Hudsons slash line. ///

Furcal is hitting .247 in June with 9 runs scored. We all know he is a better player than that. O-Dog isn't faring much better, hitting .237 with only 10 runs scored. But back in April, when Manny's stick was in the lineup behind the two of them, these two were putting up twice as many runs per month. All because of Manny's presence in the lineup. He changes things.

Personally, I'd probably try for Furcal, since his speed potential gives a touch more upside over Hudson, but O-Dog is no slouch himself.

Heck, even the Dodgers July schedule works in their favor .. look at the runs their opponents pitching staffs are giving up per game .. That is a lot of meat.
