Hope for Sanchez

Manager Bruce Bochy wasn't ready to say whether Jonathan Sanchez would start Sunday, as scheduled, or be bumped to Tuesday - the next time a No. 5 starter is needed. One consideration is Tim Lincecum, who has thrown 26 innings in his past three starts. If Sanchez stays in his slot, Lincecum would pitch next on five days' rest instead of four (because of today's off day), which might be preferred.
