Royals put outfielder Crisp on the DL

The ongoing pain in center fielder Coco Crisp’s right shoulder finally forced the Royals to make a move Sunday. The team placed Crisp on the 15-day disabled list, retroactive to Saturday, because of a right rotator cuff strain. Infielder Tug Hulett was recalled from Class AAA Omaha to take Crisp’s spot on the roster.

Crisp has been dealing with pain in the back of his shoulder for about a month, but the team hoped a recent eight-day break — he has only played in five games since May 26 — would give the shoulder some time to recover. It turns out it didn’t

Looks like the Royals are hoping they can get a little 2008 DeJesus out there at the leadoff spot and not the .240 AVG, .290 OBP one of 2009. Why isn't Callaspo leading off? That would really help me catch up in Behrens' Pro-Am League...
