I saw the Hangover yesterday, and aside from being one of the funniest things I've ever seen, I realized that it essentially mirrored my life, with each character embodying an emerging trait or characteristic that I possess. Consequently, I also had a hangover this morning (and will probably have one tomorrow as well). As is life. Just got in from a scramble golf outing, so before I settle down to watch the Mets, Team USA Soccer, and maybe some NBA or Stanley Cup Finals if they're on, let's get tomorrow's picks...
Josh Geer (R), SD (2% Owned) vs Dan Haren (R), ARI
Currently 1-for-2 on Josh Geer Spot * On Picks, but I look to improve that tomorrow as he faces the anemic D-Backs and their .717 team OPS (.716 vs RHP). Pitching at the golf course that is PETCO Park against a pitcher who should be collecting paychecks from his teammates for lack of run support, I like Josh Geer tomorrow, and so does Vegas. At just a +140 underdog against Haren, the Over/Under for Total Runs is an eye-popping 7. When they're this low, folks, they go under, in my experience. Don't expect a Win, but I expect a Quality Start, some Ks, and some quality all-around ratios from Geer. At just 2% Owned, he's almost certainly available in your league, to boot.
Joel Piñeiro (R), STL (29% Owned) vs Ubaldo Jimenez (R), COL
Joel has been my rock, my stopper. He put up strong Spot * On starts for me in both April and May, and tomorrow hw will in June for me again. Colorado and their .717 Road OPS isn't scaring me, nor Joel who has quietly been very, very good for the vast majority of this season. One thing you can expect from Joel is a decision, as he seems to always factor in one way or the other, so if the Cards are on top, and as a -130 favorite, they very well may be, expect Pinny to pick up the Win. There's -120 juice on Under 8.5 Total Runs, so I like the low scoring potential all the way around here.
No, I didn't pick Tommy Hanson. Not because I don't want to. I'd love to. But he's currently 76% Owned in Yahoo! Plus Leagues, so I felt the need to clarify here. So with that said...
Other starters you're going to want to watch tomorrow include Ricky Nolasco, Rich Hill, and Vin Mazzaro.
Until tomorrow...

scary that 3 out of 4 players already know who he is.
I was out all day yesterday, but I made my spot starter picks in the Double Dipper article for the Cafe.
