H2HWS Registration update

I wanted to get an update out on team registration so far, and pass on a couple of notes about the initial seeding for our restructuring.

As things stand now, we have 155 teams registered for the 2009 season, and a fair amount of new teams signing up, (thanks guys). I plan on keeping Team Registration open through February. Like always, I'll probably shut it down after the first week of March, so we have lots of time remaining. If you know someone that wants to play, just pass along the link, please.

You can find a complete list of registered teams here. I update it daily. heck just pass along that link ...

Now, it's important to keep in mind that this is just the initial seeding. After this season is over, and for every season going forward, everything is set in stone, with seven teams moving up, and seven teams moving down.

So, what you see on this sheet now, is not set in stone, not yet. If you are currently slotted in "Division A", that doesn't necessarily mean you will be in "Division A" when leagues are actually assigned. We still have many weeks of registration to go.

When I initially drew up the seedings last fall, I used last seasons winning percentage. With some time to reflect on that, it may not have been the best way to approach the initial restructuring.

When it comes to seeding the tournaments, I am looking at a few things above all.

First is last seasons finish. If you won your league, or even had the best record in your league, you will find yourself in "Division A". That is a given.

The second thing I am looking at is past champions. If you won a league at any point in our four year history, I am placing these teams in "Division A" also.

The third and final thing I am looking at is Career Winning Percentage, versus just last season winning percentage.

This is largely an attempt on my behalf to be loyal to the guys that have been with us from the get go.

Again, this is a one time seeding. Next season, and every season going forward, we are a strict seven up, and seven down.

if you have any questions, hollar

I like it; good job.

The rationale outlined above for being in Div A makes sense to me, as you said, it'll work itself out from next year; it's the 1st year and we've all got to start somewhere......

I also have a stinking win % but won in '07 so that helps..........

Also; have you finalised the "move limit" issue yet? (sorry; i'm lazy and haven't checked the older posts)

Cheers
