It
is apparent I have no idea what I am doing. I had my team captain on the bench, and apparently team captains earn double points. I need to set up one of the news thingee's that tracks my players for me. Heck, apparently I need to read the rules. And to top this off, it is a salary cap game, meaning that players that are sure to go up in value, I don't know them. I am soo screwed.
I will say this though. I am learning. I am watching more football than at any time in my life, so that's a plus right?
Maybe it's just the Olympics. Hmmm, Erika! :)
Does the Premiership get televised in the US? Fox I bet does it. I need to take in a game or three.
Anyways, here are the standings after week one.

A bad start for the Knights - thank goodness I had Agbonlahor as my captain. Without the double points for his hattrick, I'd be below the Smoggies - terrible!
but my Dodgers are already 24 points behind the leader! Just glad my three strikers all found the net at least once.
The Premiership is on Fox Soccer Channel. There's also a premium channel called Setanta Sports that airs the more important games of the season (you can get it off DirecTV or Dish Network). Prepare to wake up early for them. Noon games which aren't all that frequent air at 4am here but a good share of the games are 7:30-8:00 our time...thankfully.
I had a solid Week 1 (4th). I made a good play with Mikel Arteta of Everton off of a free kick (he runs Everton's set pieces and so, I'd say he has very good value for a midfielder). I also picked up Gareth Barry of Aston Villa for a good 8 points in a demolition against Manchester City. Petr Cech posted a clean sheet for an easy 8 points as my goalkeeper. I would rather have Brad Friedel for the 1m saved but I would be overloaded with Aston Villa players.
One regret I had was not adding Dean Ashton to my striker crew (I played 3 in a 3-5-2). I originally had Cesc Fabregas but thought I'd exchange him for David Bentley for 3m pounds less and add another well priced midfielder, Instead, I kept Dave Kitson of Stoke for 5.5 while still having money left over to exchange Kitson for Ashton. So, Ashton scores 2 goals in the first 10 minutes against Wigan and well, that was it. If you were wondering, I had Tevez (again, a late scratch) and Jermaine Defoe up front.
Again, kudos to Dru for drafting Agbonlahor in the Times game and I think he had him here in the Fantasy PL game. Thus, a huge 75 point week for him.
