"As far as talking about change of positions, talking about Alex Rodriguez," Wright said, "that name did not get brought up once in our conversation."
.."When I spoke to Omar, he wanted to say hello," Wright said. "He wanted to just tell me to be prepared to be the third baseman in 2008. That's what I took from it, and that's the way I'm going about my business. I just wanted to let him know that in no way, shape or form does he have to go through me about anything. His job is to make the trades, sign the free agents. My job is to go out there and play."
