Yesterday we started setting up a few leagues, and sending out invites, for the H2H Super Bowl. I know the league invites for Germany and UK went out, and I am still waiting to hear back from Brazil.
I also set up a California league, and sent invites to everyone that had registered so far. I used the Yahoo "invite other league feature" to invite everybody from California. I figured what the heck, lets get these leagues filled, ya know.
And with that line of thinking, I also set up leagues for New York, Michigan, Virginia, and Ohio/PA. Just as I did in California, I invited the teams that registered, and all the teams that I have on record from those four states.
Lets get this party started!!
I want to give it a week, just to see what kind of reaction we get overall. After that we will have a better idea of where we are for leagues. If I had to guess, I'd say we will open up with 9 or 10 leagues.
But, that leaves these 10 teams with out a home, for the moment.
- WillCountyThrowbacks
- Steel Curtain
- Annville Titans
- Kansas City Kaos
- STL REDBIRDS
- Winston-Salem Panthers
- Rhode Island Radicals
- Tennessee Volunteers
- Roto-Killbot
- Hurst Hobos
So, if the mass invites works like I think they should, I will set up an Illinois, Missouri, Mass. and Texas league next Sunday. It is important to me to get as many leagues of 14 as possible, and I think that is where those teams up top will come in. If we get say 13 teams in New York, instead of running a dummy team there, we can just use the Rhode Island team.
For the first year, all league winners will advance to the Super Bowl. As the series grows, I expect it to become more like the system in the H2HWS, where we have three tiers instead of two, Regional, National, and World Series.
So there it is. The ball is rolling.
H2H Super Bowl .. do you play?
