Blalock injures hand, again

The continuing saga that is Hank Blalocks return from the disabled list.

Most people won't know this fun little fact, unless of course you own Hank Blalock this season, but his return from the DL has been delayed about five times over the last month and half alone. Every time Blalock gets ready to actually start a re-hab game, he has a set back of one form or another, and it has grown quite comical.

Personally, I have picked him up twice in one league, simply because the news said he is due back Monday.

• 4/29/2008 Blalock was placed on the DL.
• 5/14/2008 Blalock is scheduled to begin a rehab assignment on Thursday and could return to the team as soon as Friday.
• 5/17/2008 Blalock is now expected to start his rehab assignment on Monday.
• 5/19/2008 Blalock is expected to play at first base when he returns and will likely be activated later in the week.
• 5/23/2008 Blalock won't come off the disabled list on Friday as expected
• 5/26/2008 Blalock will likely remain on the DL at least through Friday
• 5/30/2008 Blalock underwent surgery He is expected to be sidelined for another four weeks.
• 6/18/2008 delayed his rehab assignment

Yeah right!

So what ever this little news blurb says below, don't listen to it. Hank won't be back on Friday. Its just a ploy to get you to burn a roster spot ..

6/24/2008 - Hank Blalock injured his right hand in a rehab game Sunday. He was scratched from Monday's game and will be re-evaluated on Tuesday. Blalock was expected to return from the DL on Tuesday but he may not return until Friday now.
