Fantasy Football Rankings: TEs 1-10

Well it is almost fantasy football time, so we might as well start looking around the Internets for some rankings. Fake Teams has had a whole series so far, a position by position breakdown, so here is a little teaser on Tight Ends. I doubt it will be the last one we see here. Not that anybody notices this stuff.

1

Clark, Dallas

IND

Having him on your fantasy team is like having a second WR2.

2

Witten, Jason

DAL

The foundation of the Dallas passing game.

3

Gates, Antonio

SD

The offense has always been based around him.  If the running game falters this season, how does it affect him?

4

Gonzalez, Tony

ATL

He won't put the 1000 yards we're accustomed to because the Falcons offense is centered on him.  He'll still be a great fantasy TE though.

Spring Ball.

Well hey look at that. It's 10am pacific - 1pm eastern, and the E-Spin is currently televising a springtime college football game. It's the Georgia Bulldogs offense versus the Georgia Bulldogs defense, and yes that's right I said football.

So I ask you. Have the sociopaths in Connecticut plum lost their minds? Has the world wide leader in slime, just totally sold out for football, or what? I realize that with all the crime in this here gridiron game, that football is really a match made in heaven for the ratings based editors in Bristol, but seriously, spring football? Isn't that a touch over the top?

H2HSB UK - Week 14

Sorry about the lateness of this post - at the time of writing the first game of week 15 is about to get underway - but things have been a bit hectic this week.

With the first round of the playoffs there were only two matchups in week 14 with London Knights taking on Teddys Bears and Leicester Tigers verses Special Patrol Group.

H2HSB UK - Week 13

Just in time the Tigers woke from their mid season slumber and roared into the playoffs with a 177.24 point performance and victory over South Shield 49er - just by way of trying to prove wrveres "crap shoot" theory, this result was enough to leave me as the highest points scorer in the division and yet still finished the season with a 6-7 record.

The two other teams battling for a playoff place, Teddy's Bears and Rainow Ravens, both lost meaning that the former claims the sixth spot whilst the Ravens season comes to an early end.

H2HSB UK - Week 12

Is it time for baseball yet?

This season is getting more depressing by the week as I have now lost my seventh game in eight (despite Yahoo predicting me to win seven of these matchups).  This has had the effect of dropping me down to sixth in the league with a 5-7 record, tied with the Rainow Ravens - the latest team to beat me.  Somewhat surprisingly I still have the second highest points total in the league - the only thing keeping me in the playoff hunt.

H2HSB UK - Week 11

Week 11 saw three more teams  - London Knights, Norwich No and Special Patrol Group - clinch their place in the playoffs with victories this week, with the London Knights beating the table topping Havent Hurlers in the lowest scoring matchup of the week (only 174.74 total points) compared to Norwich No's 140.72.

With two weeks to go there are two battles left, the top four teams will fight it out for the top two seedings whilst there is a five team battle for the last two places in the playoffs.

It is what it is

Yeah thats great. I started Forte of course, and he got me nothing. 50 yards I think. Even better, I benched Ryan Grant because he was facing the Bears D, ya know...
150 yards later .. oops

Chicagotribune.com Bears defense a holy mess

"All I can tell you is that, obviously, our defense isn't what it used to be," Brown said. "Everyone wants it to be what it used to be, and it's not that. It's all about performance, and we haven't been performing well. Wherever we're ranked, that's where we deserve to be ranked, know what I'm saying? "It is what it is. Once we come to grips that our defense isn't what it's supposed to be, we'll all be better off." "Our perception is that we have a good defense," Brown said. "The reality is we don't."
