The season has come to an end and I stand in 1st place for a second straight season. Ran away with it last year just to get bounced in the second round of the playoffs. Let's see what happens this season.

Last seasons playoff champion, St. Louis Crackers, gets the bye. He has spent his 50 move limit so we'll see if lady luck is on his side yet again. With all due respect, Crackers won the league last season without having any moves left for the playoffs.

I'd like to give a "hats off" to all of the leagues participants. Nice season fella's! For those 6 that made the playoffs. Good luck! I'm coming after you!

Big League Chew POUNDED me last week and St. Louis Crackers wins big to send me from 1st to 3rd.

The Last playoff spot is up for grabs heading into the final 2 weeks. 4 teams remain in that battle.

Crackers, Chew and myself have all clinched playoff births.

Well, took over 1st and now hold a decent lead over second place. Though  do have a tough matchup against Big League Chew this week.

The battle for 1st remains a tight one between me and Crackers. Big League Chew is also hanging in there.

The Battle for the last playoff spot is in full effect.

After having a strong hold on the #1 spot for most of the season, Bat Breakers X fell from 1st to 5th place in one week.

St. Louis Crackers has been hot as of late and is our curent league front runner. I'm gunning for ya, man!

Well the final week of the H2H Hoops season is here, and the USA league is a real nail biter. I wouldn't have it any other way.

Even though Olimpia Milano beat down the female dogs from City last week (7-3), Milano is still not quite yet .. in .. the post season. Not yet anyways. Hopefully next week, we can report better news.

With one week to go, only one team has assured themselves a playoff spot. That honor would belong to Northern California's own, Patrick, and his "Shaq from 3". Patrick's team was led this season by none other than Chris Paul himslef, and I personally can attest that Chris Paul can win you your league. Chris Paul fell to me in a private league, and I too have a bye week coming up. Heck Paul has me ahead by so much, I have three bye weeks.

But who's counting?

and like that, i am right back in this thing.

Heck I even have a shot at a first round bye ..

Hey, a win is a win, is a win. Even if it is during he shortened all-star break, right? And after six straight losses, seven nightmarish weeks without a win, this Olimpia Milano club finally ended the skid, and pulled one out against a bottom feeder.

I'll take it.

Now, I need to make up five games in five weeks. Next up, another bottom feeder :)

A quick little holiday update for everybody's favorite winter sport, fantasy hoops.

The Virginia Wallabies were the top team of week 9, handing the crew from NYC their second major loss (9-1) in three weeks.

The Evansville Intimidators have turned their season around rather quickly. After coming out of the gate with back to back weekly losses. Evansville finds themselves a game behind the front running Milano team. Milano tied Phoenix last week (5-5).

And so it continues.

San Diego's own, Olimpia Milano, has faced down three strong contenders over the last few weeks, two second place teams, and then this week, the fourth place Annville Titans. All plus .500 teams. Milano has beaten them all back to the tune of 6-4, 5-4, 7-3.

It's time to start believing this team is for real!. Heck as of today, 12/22/08, both my teams are in first, and these are not your run of the mill public leagues .... Yes. Its good to be king

After taking down last weeks number two seed, the yahoo gods saw it fit to challenge the boys from Olimpia Milano just one more time, pitting them against the newest number two seed, New York City. The team from New York held the lead all week long, even stretching it out to seemingly unsurmountable 7-3 lead going into Sundays action, but ...

Once again, the insane crew from Olimpia Milano did what was necessary on the offensive glass, and stole another victory, 5-4-1.

Sorry bout that New York.

It's good to be king.

The front running squad from San Diego, after dealing with a brutal beating at the hands of the Mill Rats in week five (2-8), rebounded quite nicely against the second overall team, the Evansville Intimidator's.

Despite being down two players for the week, Nate Robinson and Tracy McGrady, Olimpia Milano squeaked by the Intimidator's on the final evening, with a solid team effort on the defensive glass. After Saturdays action, everything was tied up at five apiece, but the return of Jermaine O'Neal was just enough to give Milano the win in rebounds, and the win for the week.

Their reward?

eh, I was due to lose.

I went through the first four weeks like gang busters, so I was probably due for a slap in the face. I could blame injury's to Nate Robinson, Tracy McGrady and Jermaine O'Neal for this weeks loss, but those three combined, were not going to make up the 250 points I was behind.

No. The Neenah Mill Rats, straight up, kicked my butt.

Oh my team is good .. really good. There is nothing wrong with four straight wins, heck, I am not sure I could have started the season out any better, to be honest. Not just weekly wins, but giving out butt kicking's.

The last two weeks have been locked up before the weekend even begins. Everything else was just padding the stats.
