H2Hoops - East week 19

We still have one heck of a battle going on out East, as nothing has been decided with only two weeks to go. No team has clinched a playoff spot, and no playoff spot is secure. Its that tight.

H2Hoops - East week 18

Well we have three weeks to go in the regular season and nothing has been settled out East.
The top six teams still have a shot at a first round bye, and the playoff possibilities still go nine deep.

H2Hoops - East week 17

As I mentioned last week, we have a sweet little battle brewing out East.

With only four weeks to go, the top nine teams still have a dog in the fight, and only the top seeded Kinston Fireballs seems to be secure for the postseason. Rump stated before the season began that this was his league to lose, and nothing he has done this season has disproven that. So far the Fireballs have lead wire to wire.

H2Hoops - East week 13

I think I forgot to post this last week. Heck, I don't think, I know I forgot to post these last week. For all five of you following along with the home game. My Apologies.

It looks like we have quite a race out East. Everybody from Baltimore on down has fallen off the pace a touch, but the top seven teams are virtually neck and neck. This looks like its going to be quite a finish.

H2Hoops - East week 10

Well week ten saw the 'Kinston Fireballs' rebound a touch with a solid victory over the second seeded 'Maineacs' (8-2), and in doing so they opened up a small five to six game cushion over everyone else in the standings.

We also had a tight battle between the third and fourth place teams, a battle that saw Jason's 'Better than Isiah' squad jump up to second overall with a 6-4 win.

The most lopsided victory of week ten came from the guys over at the 'Mort Report', who with their 9-1 thumping of the last place 'Murphy's Law', jumped all the way up to fifth place...

H2HSB - USA East Championship

The final match up out East was not nearly as close as this league semi's were.

Incognito, who came on strong at the end of the season, blew past the front running Brooklyn Grantastics in the final weeks, and when it came time for a re match in the finals, they blew past the Grantastics again (101-74).

Congrats Fenton ..

H2Hoops - Overall through week 9 .. "How good are the Enfield Lips?"

Since I have access to all the leagues data in the H2Hoops series, it allows me to play around with the numbers here a touch. Just like the good 'ol days.
Below I have a few different tables here for you.

The first one is the totals for all the teams in the league, with an average to use as a comparison, minus the two dead teams of course. If you are not average or better in at least five categories, you have your work cut out for you. make some trades, punt some categories, whatever. Its never too late to right the ship ..

H2Hoops - East week 9

Interesting battles out East this week. We have one versus two, three versus four, and five versus six.

That promised dominance by the Kinston Fireballs, seems to have a little chink in the armor. Not only has Rump lost his cushion in the standings, he has a match-up with the second seeded Maineacs this week. The same Maineacs squad that just leapfrogged him in the standings.

H2HSB - East Finals

The finals out east gives us a battle between one and two. What more could you ask for? Brooklyn held the one seed all season long and Ingognito stole the top spot on the final week. Is a little payback in order?

H2HSB - East Semifinals

The H2H Super Bowl Eastern quarterfinals showcased two tight battles, between four great teams.

In the first match-up, a combination of Brett Farve, Wes Walker and Adrian Peterson was not enough to overcome San Fransisco's defense, as the Great Neck Greats beat back the Tennessee Vols to move on to the Semis. Who knew?

In the other match-up, the Baldwin Lonestars slipped past In the Zone on the backs of DeSeason Jackson and late season pickup, Quinton Ganther.

The Kinston Fireballs lead shrinks as the league wide competition heats up a touch. Also we had a late arrival take over the dummy team via Yahoo's co manager feature. Welcome aboard Baltimore Mockingbirds.

H2HSB - East week 13 - Regular Season Final

A change in the top of the standings on the final Sunday. Les Grants Brooklyn Grantastics held the top seed all season long, wire to wire, losing it on the final weekend. They will drop down to a number two, and still fetch a playoff bye, but is has to somewhat bitter after 12 weeks of domination.

Can a Dummy team net a first round bye for the post season? No doubt its still early in the season, but it gives me something to type in this space on a cold December morning.

H2HSB - USA East week 12

Well four teams have playoff spots locked up in the East, and two more teams have the inside track on the final two playoff spots. One of them, "In the Zone", plays against H0rt so you know that's a win, thus leaving only one post season ticket left to punch.

The Great Neck Greats have the inside track here, win and they are in. Lose and we have a scenario where one of four other teams, including the dummy team, have a shot at post season glory.

H2Hoops - East week 5

The long daily grind that is the H2Hoops challenge marches on. Here in the C league it is going to take a touch longer than five weeks to figure out who is, and who isn't, "for real".
We can probably slot the Kinston Fireballs and New Hampshire Goats in the "for real" column, and all the others, well the jury is still out.
