The final playoff results

As the player rotating continues the Southfield Sparrows and Cleveland Clams play for the playoff championship

Everything went according to script in week 1 of the playoffs as the Bandits and Racers were eliminated and the Sparrows and Clams move on to face the 'Youtes and Trout in the semifinals.

The Racers were never in the contest against the Sparrows from Day 1, using every transaction they had left to try and turn things around, the Sparrows used 8 transactions themselves to counter.

The results are in and only 6 teams remain,

While a couple of other teams may still have a mathematical chance to make the playoffs, we'll focus on the three teams seemingly battling for the last invitation.

Still no team has earned a playoff spot with two weeks to go, although it appears 3 teams have quit.

The dog days of Summer are upon us and only 3 weeks to go in the regular season. No team yet has a guaranteed spot in the playoffs, so everything is still in high stress mode.

With 4 weeks to go, looks like 10 teams still have a realistic chance to earn a spot at the big dance - what will it look like next week?

Hoping with the win the 'Yotes have secured a return to the USA Great Lakes A next year, nothing yet is a surety of course. Anyway the 'Yotes lead a scary cast of characters for the 2nd week and will meet the Racers this week. The other top 7 battle puts the Bandits against the Mill Rats.
On with the rest of the results.

Well the Racers came back from their extended vacation and promptly inserted Ryan Braun back into the lineup, we'll see if it helped. I guess everyone get's a chance at the top, this week the 'yotes get their chance and a top-tier opponent as well (Union Lake Trout).
As the trading deadline looms closer, a look back at the three trades made so far.

Going into the break, Southfield reclaims the top spot, Ryan Braun still rides the bench for the stumbling and absent Indy Racers and Kenosha returns to the bottom.

Union flashes by on the way to the top as the Sparrows barely fall to the 'yotes in a battle of the previous week's 1-2.

Starting the 2nd half in a 14 team league means you still haven't played all the teams once, so you kinda don't really know what to expect. However when in Week 13 the two top teams matchup, you wonder how did they do that - only way it could be better is (in my books anyway) if they were to matchup in Week 22 for all the marbles,

Anyway new leader this week is Southfield as they stormed to the top beating Kenosha.

At the half-way point, anything is possible, with the top 6 all within 8 games, a bad week you tumble hard, a good week, you might possibly move to the top.
A little tougher for the rest of the league but with last place on 25 games out, it is still possible for anyone to turn it around and make the playoffs, where (don't we know) anything can happen.

A new leader as the dawn awakens this morning and a half-a-game separate the top three in the league and as we near the half-way point in the regular season, only 5 1/2 games separate the top 6, kinda like what we like to see, no?

Well if your near the bottom at this point, you either accept it or change your plan and see what flies, let's see if the 'yotes are in that situation.

Having trouble on IE, getting into the site and can't post after I do. I can't see the standings on Yahoo's league page while on Firefox, so until something get's straightened out somewhere, here goes nothing.

Cleveland Cams maintain their lead, Union Lake Trout move up to 2nd as the Indy Racers fall to 3rd.

Week 7 in the book and a new leader takes over, though the Racers didn't fall far.

Where is the time going, starting week 7 already and prepping for mid-season leagues.

so far this season.
