Captain's (B)log: H2HWS Week 12 - Psyche!

Into the 2nd half of the regular season, and it's no exaggeration to say that pretty much every team still has a chance to make the playoffs. One team seems guaranteed of a place (and probably the #1 seed), but after the 2nd-placed team was trounced in Week 12, the remaining 13 teams have 5 places to battle for...

Spot * On Picks | 7.4 (Sat) Let Quality Starts Ring

On this the 233rd anniversary of this country's independence from the tyrannous British (current company of Englishmen here excused, of course), my gift to the American people is simple, simple I say. I give you the gift of Quality. Quality Starts, that is. Quality Starts backed by research, tireless hours, and wearing my fingers down to the bone. 2009 All-Early Disappointment Team (Offense)

The mid-point of May has come and gone, and we're now a full six weeks into the 2009 fantasy baseball season; approximately 25% of the way through. There are plenty of players who we drafted early and often, anticipating production, who are now largely contributing factors to our slumping in the standings. Now, it's far too early to call any of these guys 'busts', but Lord knows we've expressed our disappointment in a fit or outrageous profanity at least once this season, if we own them, for either not living up to the numbers we expected given where we drafted them, or in one case earning a fifty game suspension for taking a female fertility drug (allegedly). Thus, we've created the 2009 All-Early Disappointment Team. Let's take a closer look at who these &*@$#!%&$*#$! are on offense...
